The 33-year-old Lucy Letby is a British serial killer and former neonatal nurse who attacked at least thirteen infants in her care between June 2015 and June 2016, killing seven of them.

Lucy Letby is the only child of a finance manager and an accounts clerk, and her parents are John Letby and Susan Letby. She was raised in Hereford and was educated at Aylestone School and Hereford Sixth Form College.

Letby pursued her education in nursing at the University of Chester, where she also worked as a student nurse during her three years of training, carrying out placements at Liverpool Women’s Hospital and the Countess of Chester Hospital.
